The Bellingham Bells kept their hopes for winning a second West Coast League title in three years alive by evening the championship series with a 5-2 Game 2 win at Corvallis on Monday, Aug. 15.
Dean Lawson delivered a two-run double in the top of the fourth inning to bring home what proved to be the game-winning run and later scored in the frame to give the Bells a 4-1 lead.
Jon Olsen allowed one run and struck out eight in seven innings to pick up the win for Bellingham, which rebounded from a 4-0 Game 1 loss to the Knights on Saturday, Aug. 13, in Bellingham.
The deciding Game 3 will be played Tuesday, Aug. 16, in Corvallis.
