Three Whatcom Football Club Rangers teams won division titles Sunday at the Phillips 66 Rimland Challenge at the Northwest Soccer Park.
The WFC Rangers 2001 Blue beat Blackhills FC B01 Black 5-1 in the championship game of the U16 Boys’ Copa division, and the WFC Rangers B01 Gold beat Blackhills FC B00 Black 3-2 for the U16/17 Boys’ title. On the girls’ side, the WFC Rangers G03 Gold shut out Crossfire Select Miller G02 4-0 in the championship games.
Eight other Whatcom County teams made it to championship games but fell short: Hammers FC Academy - Black (U11 Boys), WFC Rangers B05 Gold (U12 Boys), WFC Rangers BU14 Gold 2003 (U14 Boys), WFC Rangers B02 Blue (U15 Boys’ Copa), WFC Rangers B02 Gold (U15 Boys Premier), Hammers FC Academy Black (U10 Girls), WFC Rangers G04 Gold (U13 Girls) and WFC Rangers G01 Gold (U16 Girls’ Premier).
