Meridian graduate selected to U.S. Men’s Slow Pitch Futures team
Cole Patterson, a former All-Whatcom County first-team selection in baseball and a 2006 graduate of Meridian High School, has been selected to the 2016 USA Softball Men’s Slow Pitch Futures National Team, according to a press release.
Patterson, who now lives in Meridian, Idaho, is one of eight rookies on the roster.
The Futures team will play the U.S. National team in the Slow Pitch Showdown on July 5 in Oklahoma City. Both teams will then compete against Canada and other local softball team in a series of exhibition games July 4-6.
