Rangers U18 Gold finishes second at Washington State Championships
The WFC Rangers Boys U18 Gold soccer team took second at the Washington State Championships on Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Starfire complex in Tukwila.
The Rangers, coached by Brendan Quilici, fell 2-1 to the Crossfirst Premier B97 A in the championship game on Sunday.
The club won its group by tying with FWFC B97 Blue (A) 1-1 on Jan. 10, tying WPFC B97 Black (A) 1-1 on Jan. 24 and beating PacNW B97 Maroon A 2-1 on Jan. 31. The Rangers then advanced with a 2-1 win over Seattle United B97 Copa A on Feb. 6 in the quarterfinals and a 2-1 win over Kitsap Alliance FC B97A on Saturday, Feb. 20 in the semifinals.
Team members included: Alan Eyoub, Alden Sundean, Blake Langei, Dane Thurston, Devin Trueb, Eli Guidroz, Emmanuel Pacheco-Rodriguez, Gabriel Weight, Isaac DeVange, Joshua Seig, Kellen Smith, Kiefer Thomas, Mason Rathkamp, Noah Byford and Will Mascioli.
