Lesh helps sailing team win prestigious title

Robyn Lesh, a longtime resident of Everson, helped her USA women’s sailing team win the Laser Performance International Collegiate Championship against international competition at Yale University in New Haven, Conn.

Teams came from Japan, Italy, Oman, Ireland, Canada and France to compete in Z420 dinghies.

Lesh was one of the three women who skippered on the all-women’s team and sailed into first place, beating the second USA team by 6 points (157-151) in a hard fought contest over three days.

Lesh spent her high school years sailing on the Bellingham High School sailing team and this year will be the A skipper on the MIT women’s varsity sailing team.
