Bellingham’s Benjamin Doucette advanced through seven heats of hurdlers in the preliminaries at the USATF Junior Olympics last week in Jacksonville, Fla, to advance to the semifinals among the best athletes in the country.
Doucette ended up finishing 15th overall. He had previously finished first at a prelim event in Seattle before taking second in Portland to qualify for the Junior Olympics.
