Bellingham Bells earn doubleheader sweep of Bend
The Bellingham Bells beat the Bend Elks 4-3 in the opener on Wednesday, July 29, at Bend and came back to complete the doubleheader sweep with an 11-4 win in West Coast League action. Both were seven-inning games.
In the opener, Andrew Kemmerer earned the win by giving up three runs and eight hits in five innings of work. Brian Way worked the seventh for the save.
Dustin Breshears, Aaron Stroosma, Walker Olis and Joey Harris all knocked in runs for the Bells.
In the 11-4 win, Chase Scott hit a three-run home run, and K.J. Brady added a two-run double.
Andrew Summerville gave up two runs and two hits in 4 1/3 innings to earn the victory.
