Post 7 AA starts out hot at state tournament

The Bellingham Post 7 AA team won its first two games at the state tournament in Olympia.

Post 7 opened the tournament with a 7-2 win over Trail, B.C. behind Dylan Harper’s seven-inning, complete-game, four-hitter. Leading the offense was Ke Alhoi Grondin, who went 2 for 3 with a double and Connor Sage, who was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI.

In the second game, Post 7 beat the Olympia Bears 10-0. Sage threw a complete game in five innings for the win. Cameron Tipton was 2 for 3 with a triple and three RBI, Willie Webber was 1 for 1 with a double and two walks and Bunji McCleod, Ben Wolters and Dyland Harper were each 1 for 2.

Post 7 played the Kennewick Dusters at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 27, but results were not available at press time.
