Bells’ bats can’t keep up with Medford in shootout

The Bellingham Bells got outscored in a shootout with Medford 19-11 on Saturday, July 25, in Medford.

The Bells’ bats couldn’t quite keep up with Medford after the Rogues had a nine-run fifth inning. Despite putting a whopping 16 hits on the board and 11 runs, Bellingham only had two extra-base hits, a recurring problem for the team.

Starter Grant Schneider was credited with the loss after going four innings and giving up six runs. Cody Anderson relieved him in the fifth and gave up seven of his own.

The Bells will look to respond on Sunday, July 26, in Medford.
