The Bellingham Bells allowed three runs in the top of the third and fell to Victoria 4-1 on Wednesday, July 22, at Joe Martin Field, as the Bells struggled in the field, committing five errors on the night.
Andrew Summerville was tabbed with his second loss of the year, allowing four runs and six hits over five innings.
At the offensive end, the Bells were collecting hits — eight on the night — but none were extra bases, the only run coming courtesy of a Jesse Kuet groundout to second base.
The Bells are now 25-13 on the year and still hold a seven-game lead over second-place Victoria in the West division.
Bellingham finishes off a three-game series with Victoria on Thursday, July 23, at Joe Martin. The game is slated for a 7:05 p.m. start.
