Bellingham Post 7 AA wins district tournament

The Bellingham Post 7 team won the American Legion AA District Tourney this past weekend in Burlington finishing with a 4-1 record.

With the tournament win, the team qualifies for the state tournament in Olympia, which begins on July 25th and features 16 teams from around the state.

The district tournament was a double elimination event and Bellingham defeated Sedro-Woolley (3-2), Lynden (10-0), and Burlington (3-2) to get to the Championship round. Mount Vernon beat Bellingham 7-5 for their first loss.

Post 7 completed their championship with a 2-0 victory over the Riverdogs
