Bells rally from four-run deficit to beat Victoria
Chris Beall drove in two runs with a double in the fifth inning, and the Bells took advantage of two Victoria errors as Bellingham rallied from a four-run deficit to earn a 6-5 West Coast League win over the HarbourCats on Friday, July 17, at Victoria.
Joey Harris crossed the plate on a balk in the top of the eighth to break up a 5-5 tie, and Bells reliever Justin Courtney threw a scoreless ninth to earn his first save of the year.
The win was the second straight for Bellingham (23-12).
Alex Galgano went 2 for 4 with a triple, and Bells All-Star Dustin Breshears recorded three of Bellingham’s 10 hits. Cody Anderson (2-0) earned the win in relief, allowing no hits in three innings of work.
Bellingham will look for a series sweep when it faces Victoria next at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, July 18.
