Post 7 moves on to final day
Nothing can stop Bellingham Post 7 in the Spokane Fourth of July tournament, as Post 7 picked up another win, this time a 4-1 quarterfinal win over the Okotoks Dawgs on Saturday, July 4, in Spokane.
Josh Zavisubin hurled seven innings on the mount, striking out two, walking one and allowing only a lone run to get the win.
“It was a real good game against a real quality team,” Post 7 coach Steve Slesk said in a phone interview. “We had already gave away our ace and Josh Zavisubin came in and threw a dandy. ... He really had them off-balanced.”
The semifinal game will be played at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 5. Post 7’s opponent is still to be determined.
