Bronson Larsen’s three-run bomb in the first inning wasn’t enough for the Bellingham Bells as Kelowna scattered six runs to take the win 6-4 on Wednesday, June 24, at Elks Stadium in Kelowna, B.C.
Hunter Haworth, who got the start on the bump for the Bells, pitched four innings and allowed two runs before he was followed by Channing Nesbitt, who allowed two runs, and Riley Storedahl, who took his first loss of the season because he allowed the winning runs to score in the seventh.
Larsen’s homer was the Bells’ only real offensive production of the night, as their fourth-inning run came unearned. K.J. Brady still excelled at the plate, going 3 for 4 to raise his average to .243.
Bellingham will take on Kitsap on Friday, June 25, at Joe Martin Field.
