Bells win rain-shortened battle
The Bellingham Bells scored a run before the rain came and got the sweep of Walla Walla with a 1-0 win on Thursday, June 18, at Joe Martin Field.
Dustin Breshears drove in Kyle Brady, whose double put him in scoring position, in the third to get the Bells’ lone run. Justin Calomeni pitched five innings of shutout ball, striking out eight, allowing four hits and walking one to get the win.
The game was halted after the fifth inning. Bellingham will take on Wenatchee at 7:05 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Joe Martin.
