Bells shut out Corvallis, Olis homers
Walker Olis smashed a three-run homer in the fifth inning and the Bellingham Bells used three pitchers to cruise to a 4-0 win over Corvallis on Tuesday, June 9, at Goss Stadium in Corvallis.
Olis’ three-run homer extended the 1-0 lead gained in the fourth inning when Ben Welch hit a single to score Bronson Larsen.
Riley Storedahl got the win on the mound, throwing four innings and only allowing two hits. He came on in relief of Andrew Kemmerer, who threw four innings and allowed five hits. Brian Way closed out the game with a scoreless ninth.
The Bells will face Corvallis in game two of the series at 6:40 p.m. in Corvallis.
