Listen to the radio calls from Seattle, Minnesota on Vikings’ missed field goal
As a guy who grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, I wasn’t all that disappointed that the Vikings lost 10-9 to the Seahawks in Sunday’s NFC Wild Card Game.
As a human being, it was tough not to feel sorry for Vikings kicker Blair Walsh. He missed a 27-yard field goal attempt with 22 seconds remaining that likely would have won the game. Instead, it was way off the mark and the Seahawks escaped with an unlikely victory.
It wasn’t quite as gut-wrenching as the Bengals’ choke on Saturday night, but then again the Seahawks-Vikings game wasn’t full of cheap shots and terrible fans.
Uproxx Sports found the radio calls from the Vikings booth and the Seahawks booth. No surprise here: it was a vastly different reaction.
According to Awfulannouncing.com, Steve Raible and former Chiefs quarterback Warren Moon are on the Seahawks call (KIRO radio), while the Vikings announcers are Paul Allen and Pete Bercich of KFAN.
