Seahawks’ Lynch wears Chancellor’s No. 31 in show of support
It wasn’t quite “Free Kam,” but Marshawn Lynch made a statement today in support of Kam Chancellor on day 42 of the strong safety’s holdout.

— Gregg Bell (@gbellseattle) September 10, 2015Lynch wore Chancellor’s No. 31 practice jersey during the Seahawks’ practice Thursday at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. It was a snug fit, for sure, as the star running back was the only offensive player wearing blue.
Seattle’s offensive players wear white practice jerseys in road-game weeks, because the offense generally will be wearing white (or gray) in that week’s game.
Chancellor is going to miss Sunday’s opener at St. Louis as his holdout continues to have no end in sight. On Wednesday, coach Pete Carroll said he was “disappointed, very much so” in his team’s leader’s ongoing absence. Hours later Chancellor told NFL Network the standoff is “petty.”
