Watch: Animals fly Super Bowl colors in video mashup from PNW, New England zoos
Football fans on both coasts are getting amped for Super Bowl Sunday, and that includes the denizens of local zoos and aquariums.
Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Aquarium collaborated with their New England counterparts in a recent Instagram video, featuring animals and marine life rooting for their respective teams.
“With fans this adorable, we all win,” the organizations wrote on Instagram.
The three Seattle-Tacoma area zoos and aquariums represent the 12’s and “The Dark Side” defense, while Zoo New England, Roger Williams Park Zoo and the New England Aquarium represent “the return of Patriot nation.”
The video features an array of cute animals, like a seal holding a Seahawks helmet, a sloth admiring a Patriots sign and a penguin playing with a Seahawks football.
“United by a passion for conservation and animal care, may the best team win Superb Owl 2026,” the Instagram post continues.
The end of the video features Forrest the owl, aka Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium’s very own “superb owl,” as The News Tribune previously reported.
