For the third straight year, Bellingham has been chosen as a stop on the Seattle Seahawks’ annual preseason 12-Tour.

The Best Western Lakeway Inn will once again host the 12th Man event on Saturday, July 11. The celebration will feature Seahawks players Will Tukuafu and Julius Warmsley, the Sea Gals cheerleaders, team mascot Blitz, a performance by Blue Thunder and the official raising of the 12th Man flag.

“We have been honored to serve as the Hawks’ 12-Tour headquarters for the past two years and look forward to raising the flag with enthusiastic ‘fan-fare’ this year as well,” Lakeway Inn general manager Larry MacDonald said in a press release.

Seahawks fans of all ages are encouraged to wear their blue for the free rally. The flag ceremony will commence at noon with the introduction of the players, Sea Gals and Blitz, who will officially designate Bellingham as a Seahawk fanatic community.

Tukuafu joined the Seahawks as a free agent in October 2014 as a fullback but also saw some time on the defensive line. He played at both positions during the Super Bowl and played nine regular-season games, starting twice

Warmsley was signed to the Seahawks practice squad in September 2014 after spending training camp with the Houston Texans.

NOTE: Story updated with celebration’s new start time and Seahawks players that will attend on July 9, 2015.
