Mount Baker selects new XC coaches

Mount Baker High School announced in a press release it’s tabbed Rob Gray, Tonian Gray and Kim Preston as the school’s new boys’ and girls’ cross country coaches.

Rob, who has taught physical education in the Mount Baker School District the past 20 years and coached boys’ basketball the past 18, will serve as head coach. Preston, the Mountaineers’ newly selected girls’ basketball coach, and Tonian will serve as varsity assistants.

Tonian brings a wealth of running experience. She ran for Montana State University before competing for an elite running club in Spokane, while Preston is a lifelong runner who’s competed in numerous marathons and half-marathons.
