Carlos Padilla-Solis and Eduardo Moisa-Arevalo each had two goals in Ferndale’s 4-0 Northwest Conference win over Blaine on Monday, May 1.
Padilla-Solis scored an unassisted goal in the sixth minute and then again in the 23rd minute off an assist by Curtis Englund. Moisa-Arevalo scored once just before halftime and again on a penalty kick two minutes after the break.
”It was a good start to the game so we felt comfortable on the ball,” coach Rigel Weis said. “It was nice to be able to get an early lead and wrap up our regular season with a good response.”

Squalicum 5, Lynden 0: Squalicum scored three goals in the first three minutes to earn a Northwest Conference win over Lynden. Two of the goals were scored by Alden Sundean in the eighth and 10th minutes after Ale Tomasi scored in the fourth minute off a deflection. Squalicum waited until the 60th minute to score again, but it was a familiar face as Tomasi put a free kick in from 23 yards out.
