Ferndale has efficient night against Meridian

Ferndale scored four goals on five shots to knock off Meridian 4-0 in a Northwest Conference game on Thursday, April 21.

Sam Ford scored the only goal of the first half in the 29th minute on an assist from Jacob Sorenson. The Golden Eagles then scored three times in the second half, including twice in the final two minutes of the game. Coach Rigel Weis said he was pleased with his team’s overall defense.

“I’m really happy with the way the boys performed,” Weis said. “I think we made a statement.”
