The Lyncs and Tigers played an almost identical game that ended in a 0-0 draw on Saturday, April 16, at Whatcom Community College.
Both teams had four shots on goal, which Lynden Christian goalie Jake Poag and Burlington-Edison goalie Julian Houston had to save each time. Coach Brent De Ruyter said it was a good defensive game by both sides.
“Both teams had chances but the keepers played solid,” De Ruyter said in a phone interview. “This game builds confidence for us because we’ve been struggling to put together a full match.”
