Sehome boys’ soccer beats 4A Newport
The Sehome boys’ soccer team earned a 4-1 nonleague victory over Class 4A Newport High School on Friday, April 15, at Civic Stadium.
Jack Willis scored in the 3rd minute, Kevin Sun scored off an assist by Jake Bell in the 11th minute, Willis scored again in the 19th minute off an assist by Isaac DeVange and Sun and Ethan Hunger scored in the 47th minute off an assist by Mason Rathkamp.
“We probably played the best we have all year,” Sehome coach John Sylvester said in a phone interview. “Probably because we were playing a 4A team.”
Devin Trueb had six saves in goal for the Mariners.
