Ferndale outworked Bellingham to earn a 1-0 Northwest Conference victory on Wednesday, March 30, at Civic Stadium.
A goal in the 55th minute on a penalty kick by Josh Seig was the difference in the match. Bellingham possessed the ball well but Ferndale’s back-end defense held strong, according to Bellingham coach Matt Zigulis.
”It seemed like they wanted the game more and had much more effort,” Zigulis said. “I thought we played good soccer but we didn’t have that extra 10 percent.
