Prep boys’ soccer roundup: Langstraat starts career with a bang for Lions

Noah Langstraat was seeing his first varsity action ever and in the first minute – on his first touch – he scored the first goal of his career in Lynden’s 4-1 nonleague victory Thursday, March 17, at Sedro-Woolley.

Nick Parris had a goal and two assists, and Gerado Quiroz and Jose Rios had a goal each for the Lions (2-1-0).

Carson Smith had seven saves in goal.

“We played really well,” Lynden coach Drew Smiley said in a phone interview. “We were great. If we can play like that every game we will do great.”
