Prep boys’ soccer roundup: Langstraat starts career with a bang for Lions
Noah Langstraat was seeing his first varsity action ever and in the first minute – on his first touch – he scored the first goal of his career in Lynden’s 4-1 nonleague victory Thursday, March 17, at Sedro-Woolley.
Nick Parris had a goal and two assists, and Gerado Quiroz and Jose Rios had a goal each for the Lions (2-1-0).
Carson Smith had seven saves in goal.
“We played really well,” Lynden coach Drew Smiley said in a phone interview. “We were great. If we can play like that every game we will do great.”
Other results
Meridian 3, Blaine 2: Alan Eyoub scored a pair of goals and Koby Smith added another to lead the Trojans to the nonleague win. Colton Economy scored on a penalty kick, and Ethan Wilkett took care of the Borderites’ scores.
