The Bellingham and Sehome boys’ soccer teams played to a 1-1 tie Monday, March 14, at Civic Stadium.
Sehome’s Gabe Weight scored first on an assist from Rylan Hinkle but Bellingham would strike back as Blake Langei scored off a free kick by Will Mascioli with about 15 minutes left in the first half.
Sehome coach John Sylvester said in a phone interview that his Mariners had some chances but Bellingham is a very difficult team this season.
“I think a lot of teams are going to have trouble playing against them,” Sylvester said, saying while it was Sehome’s first game and Bellingham’s second it, “... felt like a playoff game.”
