Lynden Christian girls’ soccer ties Sehome 1-1
Lynden Christian and Sehome played to a 1-1 tie in girls’ soccer action on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Lynden Christian High School.
“It was just like the score, it was a battle. Both teams played with an incredible amount of energy,” Lynden Christian coach Brent De Ruyter said in a phone interview. “We started off with a little more momentum and turned the tide at about the 25th minute, then the second half was a fight with girls on both teams getting physical and moving the ball around.”
Hannah Moore scored the goal for Sehome and Shaye Brandsma scored for Lynden Christian with an assist from Brittany Te Velde.
Sehome plays Squalicum at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Whatcom Community College. Lynden Christian moves on to the post season playoffs.
