Ferndale wins 7-0 over Mount Baker

Ferndale girls’ soccer won 7-0 over Mount Baker on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Ferndale High School.

“The player of the game was Kylie Larmer. We put her in the net for half the game and she did really well back there and stepped up,” Ferndale coach Joe Gonzalez said in a phone interview. “She normally plays in the back line and we put her up front, up top, she really came alive and scored two goals for us.”

Elsa Ericson also scored two goals for Ferndale and Janessa Madry, who recent moved up to varsity from JV, scored.

Both teams play again at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22. Ferndale goes up against Lynden at Bender Fields and Mount Baker plays Bellingham at Northwest Fields.
