Blaine girls’ soccer loses 3-2
Anacortes girls’ soccer won 3-2 over Blaine on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Anacortes High School.
“What ultimately took us by surprise was Gabby (Ronngren),” Blaine coach Kelly Tuski said in a phone interview. “She knew what she was doing and came onto the attack from a lot of different directions and really knew how to play the field.”
Meret Scheipenberder and Ronngren scored for Anacortes. Ashley Quesada scored the goal for Blaine and their second score was an own-goal from Anacortes.
Blaine plays Nooksack Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Pipeline Fields.
