Bellingham wins 6-3 over Meridian

Kayla Heidenreich had a hat trick as the Bellingham girls’ soccer team won 6-3 over Meridian on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Civic Stadium.

“I think one of the players who really stood out was Alice Hiebert,” Bellingham coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. “Her name isn’t in the stats but she was really steady for us out there on the field throughout.”

Payton Lunde scored two goals for Meridian and assisted Lindsey Moore’s goal. Heidenreich had three goals for Bellingham and Paige McAtee, Morgan Jones and Peyton Schwinger also scored goals.

Both teams play again at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15. Meridian hosts Ferndale and Bellingham goes up against Lynden at Bender Fields.
