Storm girls’ soccer wins despite missed opportunities

Squalicum girls’ soccer team got goals from Kim Dorr, Kendra Steele and Kim Hazlett in a 3-0 Northwest Conference win over Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, Oct. 8, at Sedro-Woolley High School.

Dorr also got two assists to follow up on a four-goal performance Tuesday. Charmaine Dewit got four saves on the night for the Cubs and impressed Storm coach David Kish.

“She’s awesome. She made some fantastic saves,” Kish said in a phone interview. “She kept them in the game.”

Squalicum hosts Burlington-Edison at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Civic Stadium.
