Bellingham girls’ soccer falls hard on the road

Burlington-Edison’s Edie Breckenridge had six goals and Abby Dimock had two as the Tigers rolled to a 9-0 victory over the Bellingham Red Raiders in girls’ soccer action Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Burlington-Edison.

“(Burlington-Edison) was unusually special tonight. I told the coach that’s by far the best I’ve seen them play. Their team speed was overwhelming for us,” Bellingham coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. “I was proud of how our players played to the end. ... I’ll always love them for that.”

Bellingham is at Anacortes at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.
