Bellingham girls’ soccer wins 7-0 over Blaine
Morgan Jones led with three goals and two assists to bring Bellingham girls’ soccer a 7-0 win over Blaine on Thursday, Oct. 1, at Whatcom Community College.
“We had some defensive shifting, because we had some kids hurt and I thought we did a really nice job,” Bellingham coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. “Morgan Jones was extremely productive tonight.”
Kayla Heidenreich scored two goals and recorded an assist. Peyton Schwinger and Brooke Baker also scored.
Bellingham plays at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Burlington-Edison. Blaine hosts Mount Baker at 4:30 p.m.
