Sehome girls’ soccer wins 2-0 over Ferndale

Sehome girls’ soccer won 2-0 against Ferndale on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Civic Stadium.

“Hannah Moore, she just got the ball, dribbled through people, was really composed and had a nice finish,” Sehome coach Andria Fountain said in a phone interview. “Ava (McIlvaine)’s goal was a freekick, she just got it past the keeper.”

It was a hard-fought effort, Fountain said. Nicole Carlson played a shutout game for Sehome while their defense battled midfield.

Both teams play at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1. Sehome and Nooksack Valley play at Northwest Soccer Fields and Ferndale hosts Sedro-Woolley.
