Sehome wins 2-1 against Mount Baker

Sehome girls’ soccer won 2-1 as Mount Baker scored with two minutes left on the clock Thursday, Sept. 24.

“It was great to see Breeana (Hesyck) get a goal,” Mount Baker coach Jason Jorgensen said in a phone interview. “All of that defense finally added up.”

Mount Baker’s Emily Brandland made 30 saves on goal Tuesday as Sehome’s Zoe Dietrich and Lyla Pagnotta scored the two goals for their team.

Both teams play again on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Mount Baker will host Squalicum at 4:30 p.m. and Sehome will go up against Ferndale at 7 p.m. at Civic Stadium.
