Squalicum’s fast scoring first half earned a 6-0 win

Payton Fowler took part in three goals for Squalicum in their 6-0 win over Anacortes on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Civic Stadium.

“I think our girls started off just passing the ball really well and the opportunities were just there,” Squalicum coach David Kish said in a phone interview. “Sarah’s shot, the second of the game, was just a rocket there.”

All six goals were scored in the first half and Anacortes did not get a single shot on goal, a credit to the whole team, Kish said.

Squalicum goes up against Blaine at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, at Northwest Soccer Fields.
