Lynden ties Sehome 2-2 in final minute

Lynden girls’ soccer tied Sehome 2-2 by coming back and scoring twice in the last three minutes on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Bender Fields.

“(Emily Holt) made a fantastic save on a play,” Lynden coach Carlos Melendez said in a phone interview. “The ball actually bounced up right in front of her goal mouth and she ran up there and punched it into the clear.”

Hannah Moore and Anna Miller scored the two goals for Sehome in the first half. Peyton Fullner and Sierra Smith scored the goals for Lynden.

Lynden plays again at noon on Saturday, Sept. 19, against Nooksack Valley. Sehome plays Burlington-Edison at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Whatcom Community College.
