Lynden Christian girls’ soccer comes back in the second half to win 4-1.
Lynden Christian girls’ soccer came back for a strong second half and won 4-1 against Anacortes on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Anacortes.
“I thought Libby Hielkema did a great job from the centerback position today,” Lynden Christian coach Brent De Ruyter said in a phone interview. “Not only defending Gabby (Ronngren), their best attacker, but also getting forward and getting us opportunities.”
Morgan Wandel scored a goal and earned an assist. Haley Hollander scored two goals in the second half.
Haley was a threat the entire game, De Ruyter said. She earned her goals despite getting a lot of attention from the Anacortes defense.
