Blaine lost 7-0 to Burlington-Edison after a high-scoring first half for the Tigers on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

“We were allowing gaps down the middle that we shouldn’t have and it cost us the major goals,” Blaine coach Kelly Tuski said in a phone interview.

Megan Wilburg scored two goals in two minutes for Burlington-Edison by finding open slots down the middle of the field, Tuski said. After that, Blaine came together with a stronger defense for the second half of the game.

Blaine hosts Sedro-Woolley at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 17, at Pipeline Fields.
