Nooksack Valley loses to Anacortes 6-0 in girls’ soccer

Anacortes trumped Nooksack Valley’s girls’ soccer team with a 6-0 win Thursday, Sept. 10, at Anacortes High School.

“Anacortes played well as a team,” said Nooksack Valley coach Kevin Rus in a phone interview. “They passed well throughout the game.”

Junior Kathryn Collins, Anacortes’ keeper, played an active game shutting down Nooksack Valley forwards.

Four goals were scored by Anacortes in the first half, picked up off of sloppy goal kicks from the other side.

Nooksack Valley hosts Blaine at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Nooksack Elementary.
