Squalicum keeper Rachel Runnalls had a shutout and Kim Dorr and Kim Hazlett had two goals and an assist each as the Storm girls’ soccer team won 5-0 against Bellingham on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Civic Stadium.
“It was a total team effort,” said Squalicum coach David Kish. “Our forwards capitalized on a lot of opportunities they had and our passing was much improved from the game on Tuesday.”
Squalicum’s defense was strong, allowing Bellingham only four shots on goal but no scores.
Both teams play again Saturday, Sept. 12. Bellingham hosts Shorecrest at Whatcom Community College at 6:30 p.m. and Squalicum plays Sehome at Northwest Soccer Park at 4 p.m.
