Dawson’s four assists lead Sehome soccer to win at Mount Baker

Fiona Dawson scored a goal and logged four assists to lead the Sehome girls soccer team to an 8-0 Northwest Conference victory at Mount Baker on Monday, Sept. 27.

Highlighting Dawson’s big day, Mariners coach Andria Fountain said, was a “really nice” pass that set up Christina Funk to score on a header. Sophia Pagnotta led Sehome (7-1, 4-1 NWC) with two goals.

“I thought they did a good job of switching the ball, and they did a good job of putting away the opportunities we had,” Fountain said. “Overall, I’m happy with the effort.”

Sehome next hosts Nooksack Valley on Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Phillips 66 Soccer Park, while Mount Baker (0-7-1, 0-4-1) will travel to Anacortes.
