After riding its defense to the Class 1B state championship game earlier this month, the Lummi football team had three defensive first-team selections on the All-Northwest 1B Football League team, which was released Thursday, Dec. 17.

Twins Raven and Free Borsey led the way, with Raven making it as a first-team defensive back and Free as a first-team outside linebacker. Defensive lineman James Williams joined them on the first team, while receiver Trazil Lane was the only offensive player to make it.

The Borsey brothers also garnered honors as receivers on the second team, where they were joined by defensive end Jordan Revey, center Devin Lawrence and quarterback Jonathan Casimir. Lawrence also received honorable mention recognition at defensive end, while nose guard Jeff Cultee and running back John Ballew also were honorable mention selections.

The full all-league team was not available.
