Storm, Mountaineers stay put in football poll

The Squalicum Storm football team finished the regular season ranked No. 3 in the recently released Class 2A Associated Press Washington Football Prep Poll.

Squalicum is 9-0 after beating Anacortes 56-14 on Friday, Oct. 30, to finish off the regular season and host Lakewood at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Civic Stadium to open the Class 2A Northwest District Playoffs.

Mount Baker (8-1) stayed at No. 7 in the Class 1A poll after beating Lynden Christian 27-15 to finish the regular season.

The Mountaineers host Sultan at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Civic Stadium to start the Class 1A Northwest District Playoffs.
