Stromberg remembers Lynden Christian’s big wins
John-Mark Stromberg, a senior on Lynden Christian’s football team, plays center on the offensive line and nose guard on the defensive line. Stromberg grew up in Bozeman, Mont. but loves the outdoor activities around Bellingham. After graduation, he plans on studying medicine.
Question: What is your favorite memory from your years playing football?
Answer: Probably last week’s game against Nooksack, it was a really close game and we showed a lot of guts at the end to come away with the win. I was really proud of our guys.
Q: What is your favorite part of playing with this team?
A: I really enjoy being around the players on the football team, they are a great group of guys to be around.
Q: What is the greatest lesson you've learned from football?
A: Being a part of a team, focusing on the teamwork and working the hardest for the other guys. ...They encourage us to stick together and keep on fighting no mater what happens.
Q: What is your favorite class and least favorite class, why?
A: My favorite class would be history or science. They’re just subjects I like and the teachers I’ve had have been great. ... I don’t like math.
Q: What other activities do you participate in?
A: Football is the only sport I play, but I’m also in choir.
Q: What are your favorite things to do in your free time?
A: I really enjoy water sports, I also like to ski. Mount Baker would be my favorite place, looking forward to it this season.
Q: What are your plans for after graduation?
A: I haven’t decided on a school quite yet but I’m looking to go into pre-med. It’s an interesting field to be a part of and there are many different things to do, I want to help people.
