The Lummi football team has canceled its non-league game against rival Neah Bay originally scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11, coach Jim Sandusky said.
Sandusky said the Blackhawks don’t have enough players because of injury and ineligibility to field a team for the game.
Lummi dressed only 12 players for last week’s 40-12 win at Taholah, but Sandusky said a couple of those players were injured in that game and another went down with an injury during practice this week.
The Blackhawks have not yet forfeited the game, as the schools are attempting to reschedule.
