Fires persuade LC, Omak to push season opener back one day

The Bellingham Herald

Lynden Christian’s season opening football game against Omak has been pushed back a day due to the fire disaster in the Omak area.

The game will now be played at noon on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Lynden Christian, according to an email from LC athletic director Curt De Haan.

This will mark the fourth straight season the Lyncs and Pioneers have opened the season against each other, with Lynden Christian taking the first three by a combined score of 118-9.
