Hawks (2-0) update: Tulalip Heritage’s game against Clallam Bay on Saturday was canceled. The Hawks last took the field Sept. 22 in a 64-0 victory over Seattle Lutheran, a team that forfeited to Lummi in Week 1. They also own a 66-0 victory over Muckleshoot Tribal, which also forfeited to Lummi on Sept. 21.

Blackhawks (4-1) update: Lummi suffered its first loss of the season 84-6 against Sunnyside Christian Thursday. Sunnyside Christian’s 84 points were the most allowed by a Blackhawks squad in more than a decade, while the six points scored matched the lowest output by a Lummi offense since a 12-6 loss to St. John-Endicott in the 2006 Class 1B state championship game.

Key to the game: The Blackhawks have got to put last week behind them, especially now that they are entering league play, and continue to grow and improve as the postseason nears. Lummi won this game by forfeit last year.

Player to watch: Lummi needs to rely on the few senior leaders it has, as it looks to rebound from a difficult loss. Guys like Dashawn Lawrence can lead the Blackhawks to success.

Prediction: Lummi 50-14.
